Iran Producing Environmentally Friendly Antibacterial Substances on Industrial Scale
Shila Shahidi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company of "Atiyeh Hekmat Abtin" headquartered in the Islamic Azad University of Roudhen branch, said that the newly-produced materials simultaneously improve the protective features of textiles as well as the body's skin against ultraviolet rays.
"Due to advantages of our products, the company's researchers decided to use this technique in shoes as well, therefore, the team of researchers started producing antibacterial, antifungal and anti-odor materials to eliminate bacteria that cause the bad smell of shoes and feet," she went on to say.
"The company's researchers have also succeeded in producing anti-bacterial and anti-fungal materials for paper and cellulose products as well. The company also can produce flame retardants materials for textiles, that can also be used in making fire resistant cellulose. The mentioned flame retardants can also be used in packaging boards and wood industry," Shahidi added.
