Iran’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ali Mousavi, rejected allegations made by a British outlet regarding the so-called “Jan-Fada” campaign during a meeting on Tuesday with UK parliamentary under-secretary Hamish Falconer at the Foreign Office.

The meeting followed a report by the Daily Mail, which claimed the Iranian Embassy in London had encouraged UK residents to join what it described as an “official martyrdom program,” raising security concerns.

Mousavi strongly denied the claims, calling them “baseless” and the result of “misunderstanding and misinterpretation.”

He clarified that the initiative is simply an online campaign aimed at expressing national solidarity and supporting Iran’s territorial integrity.

“The ‘Jan-Fada’ campaign is an online initiative for Iranians to declare solidarity with the people of the country and defend the territorial integrity of Iran,” he said, stressing that it has “no connection with nationals of other countries.”

The ambassador also rejected any characterization of the campaign as violent, saying such portrayals are driven by misinterpretation and media exaggeration.
