“The first technological event of the gas industry was held six years ago with the aim of identifying domestic technological capacities and empowering knowledge-based companies. In this event, 30 strategic equipment needed by the gas industry, the supply of which was facing challenges due to sanctions, technological complexity and high exchange rate, were introduced to domestic technology companies,” said Mohsen Mazloum Farsi-Baf.

“Now, after about six years, all 30 of the aforementioned equipment have been indigenized, relying on the knowledge and expertise of domestic knowledge-based companies, and are being operated in the operational areas of the National Iranian Gas company,” he added.

“This equipment not only complies with national and international standards, but in some cases its quality and efficiency are superior to foreign models,” Farsi-Baf said.

He described the complete development and indigenization of cryogenic coldboxes in the country's gas refining industries as one of the most important achievements of that event, saying, “The construction of this strategic equipment was carried out entirely by domestic experts, and today the country has achieved complete self-sufficiency in this field.”

Reports said in July that Iran was due to increase its daily gas transmission capacity to one billion cubic meters by implementation of new pipeline projects.

With the aim of increasing gas transmission capacity to one billion cubic meters per day and strengthening the stability of the network in the country's central corridor, the implementation of the 56-inch pipeline from Pol-e-Kale to Tiran, approximately 50 kilometers long, has started in Iran which is a project that was implemented simultaneously with the class change of the 20-inch Tasouj to Urumiya line.

The project to construct the 56-inch pipeline of the tenth national gas line from Pol-e-Kale to Tiran (section one), approximately 50 kilometers long, began simultaneously with the class change of the 20-inch Tasouj to Urumiya line.

This project aims to increase the country's gas transmission capacity to one billion cubic meters per day and strengthen the stability of the network in the country's central corridor, and is being constructed by the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company with the advice of the Iranian Consulting Engineers for Industry and Management Company.

The construction of the 56-inch pipeline, approximately 50 kilometers long, the construction of a launcher station, two LBV stations, and the class change operation are part of the 20-inch Tasouj to Urumiya line.
