Special Nano-Based Coating Made in Iran Increases Lifespan of Decorative Tools
The product is a PVD-derived nanostructured coating, which can be deposited on titanium, aluminum, steel, brass, and Zamak, enabling high corrosion protection for indoor and decorative applications.
The deposition of a nanostructured ceramic coating on metallic substrates leads to desired appearance and color, excellent hardness and wear resistance, superior corrosion and erosion protection and adherent coating.
The nanocoating can be used in the surface finishing of the components used in buildings like faucets, handles, valves, and plumbing used in the bathroom and toilet, internal appliances (knobs, oven, and cabinet fittings) and sporting goods, glasses frame, bags, and shoes accessories.
In a relevant development earlier this month, a technological company in Iran made a special anti-rust and anti-corrosion's product which prolongs the life of iron and all types of pipes.
“Buildings with a metal frame or drinking water pipes need to be coated with anti-rust products to resist corrosion, water, air, rain, wind and dust,” Azim Azimi, the managing director of ‘Asr-e Memaran Jonoub’ company, told ANA.
“The anti-rust and anti-corrosion product can be used in the metal framework of buildings and thick water pipes in addition to refineries,” he added.
Noting that large amounts of money is being spent for purchasing hardware and pipes in industries, Azimi said, “When the equipment is coated with anti-rust products, its lifespan is extended and the costs will be lower.”
He explained that the anti-rust and anti-corrosion product of his company is in liquid form, saying, “This product has been made for the first time in Iran since every company has its own production standards and formulas, and the desired product is assessed in terms of wear, corrosion and heat and is presented to the market with special standards.”
