China’s General Administration of Customs announced that Iran’s exports totaled $5.72 billion during the period, indicating a 9.1% year-on-year increase.
In return, China exported $7.61 billion worth of goods to Iran, registering a 19.5% year-on-year rise.
Bilateral trade hit $1.03 billion in October 2022 with Iran’s exports at $364.87 million and imports at $673.61 million.
The Customs Administration’s spokesman said earlier this month that Iran’s foreign trade increased by 10% percent in value in the first seven months of the current Persian calendar year (started on March 21).
Iran's trade exchanges in the seven months of this year surpassed 81 million tons worth $60.133, marking a 10 percent rise in value, Morteza Emadi said.
Iran exported 61.283 million tons of goods valued at $28.406 billion in the first seven months, he added.
The official stated that liquefied propane, methanol, liquefied butane, film-grade polyethylene, petroleum bitumen, liquefied natural gas, urea, iron and steel ingots, and light oils and petroleum products were the main exported products.
The mentioned products account for 41.9 percent of the total value of the exports, he noted.
China, Iraq, the UAE, Turkey, and India have been the five major destinations for exporting Iranian goods, Emadi said.
