Iran-Made Smart Home Module Equipped with Control, Temperature Display
The Smart Home project is an intelligent control system designed to manage electrical equipment in residential, educational, and office environments. This system uses the 2560 Arduino Mega WiFi board and a 16-channel relay module to control and monitor electrical appliances via Bluetooth.
Information like temperature, humidity, time, and date are displayed via an LCD display and precise sensor modules. Also, time accuracy is maintained with the help of the RTC module, and the safety and stability of the system is guaranteed with the voltage reduction module and emergency power supply.
This project was developed to provide practical training in the concepts of the IoT, programming, and designing smart systems, and to pave the way for more advanced projects in the future.
Smart energy consumption management with the IoT and having an Arduino Mega WiFi 2560 central processor are among the most important advantages and features of this system. Controlling equipment with a 16-channel relay module, Bluetooth communication and the ability to upgrade to WiFi, displaying temperature, humidity, time and date on the LCD, and using an RTC module to maintain time accuracy are other advantages of this system.
Support for security sensors (PIR, temperature and motion, ability to connect to a smart door opener, siren and UPS, and suitability for homes, schools and office environments are other advantages of the smart home system.
In a relevant development in 2022, an Iranian company had also succeeded in the development of a remote-control module which can be used in smart buildings to save energy.
Remote control modules that prepare a smart building for users play a fundamental role in decreasing electricity consumption.
The operation to make buildings smart, or the so-called smart house, are measures used to control and monitor all parts of the building.
Besides creating comfort, the main goal of smart house designing operations and making office building smart is to monitor different parts of the place, apply different commands and save money.
The smart house has different specifications, including controlling lighting systems, cooling and heating systems, and electrical equipment and entrance doors. One of the most common aspects of a smart house is light switches or smart switches and sockets that can be simply controlled through smart technology.
Automatic on and off timing for lighting systems, smart and automatic adjustment of the lighting system of the child's room and providing much higher safety compared to simple switches and sockets for children are among the advantages of the smart house module developed by the Iranian knowledge-based ‘Borna Pouyeshsazan Houshmand Ariayee’ company.
