Iranian Company Produces High-Power Drives with Industrial Application

“Our company specializes in designing high-power drives, which are usually made from 100 kW and above. These drives are used in industry to control the speed and torque of electromotors and has applications in the mining and rolling industries and is also used in the fan section of air conditioning systems,” Mir Hossein Kimiayee Assadi, the managing director of the company, told ANA on the sidelines of Asr-e Omid event in the Northwestern city of Tabriz.

“Similar models of high-power drives which are domestically produced are very few, and we hope that we can have a greater share of the Iranian market with the products we have and we can also think about exporting in the future,” he added.

A high-power drive refers to an electric drive system capable of delivering substantial power output, typically found in industrial applications requiring significant force or torque. These drives are often used in machinery and equipment where large motors need to be controlled with precision and efficiency.

High-power drives are designed to handle large motors and demanding loads, providing the necessary torque and speed control for various industrial processes.  

They are commonly used in industries such as metals, oil and gas, mining, marine, material handling, and more.
