Iran Standing among Top States in Production of Smart Digital Hearing Aids

“With forty years of experience in the field of hearing products, we have conducted extensive research in the past five years as a knowledge-based and innovative company to be able to produce home-made smart hearing aids,” said Aria Khamseh, the deputy-manager of sales and marketing at Parstech knowledge-based company.
“At present, by using specialized personnel and students from reputable universities, and a domestic research team, we have been able to produce a large part of the software and parts of the hearing aid hardware in Iran,” he added.
“The main advantage of our product is that all the options and capabilities that exist in advanced hearing aids in European countries are included in this product,” Khamseh said.
“This industry is such that after an individual visits an audiologist for a hearing aid prescription, an ear impression is taken and is sent to us. Our team makes and sends a hearing aid that is tailored to the individual’s needs and the degree of hearing loss. After the final adjustment by the audiologist, the hearing aid is placed inside the ear canal,” he noted.
In a relevant development in 2023, an Iranian student at the Islamic Azad University of Orumieh branch had also managed to design and commercialize the first Iran-made hearing aids with the best quality and technology existing in the world.
“This hearing aid is ready for mass production and will enter the market soon. All people who need this hearing aid can get it easily and at a very low price compared to foreign models and they will enjoy a very high quality,” Nasir Zare’ Salmasi told ANA.
“The first Iran-made hearing aid fully meets all needs of people with hearing problems who need hearing aids of good quality at a reasonable price,” he added.
Zare’ Salmasi underlined that the country's dependence on hearing aids, which were imported from foreign countries in the past, have been obviated by making the indigenized product.
