Hossein Kazzerouni, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, announced the equipment of several soil greenhouses in different parts of Iran with the NANOX nanobubble system, and said, “After the significant reception of this technology by hydroponic greenhouses, its application in soil cultivation was also put on the agenda last year, and initial results indicate an eye-catching increase in production and user satisfaction.”

He described the advantages of hydroponic cultivation in soil as improving soil structure and increasing its porosity due to the continuous use of water enriched with oxygen nanobubbles, and enhancing the activity of beneficial aerobic microorganisms in the soil, which play a significant role in increasing fertility and crop yield.

Relevant reports in May also said that a large number of greenhouses in Iran were using the home-made nanobubble generators to increase products without any need to fungicides.

“Using this technology has significantly improved the quality of our products and the health of plant roots has noticeably increased. Also, there was no need to use fungicides during the cultivation period,” said Mahin Zare’, a greenhouse owner in Iran.

“Among the positive changes observed in the products have been the improvement in the color, size, and shape of fruits and these differences are noticeably visible compared to greenhouses that do not use nanobubble technology,” she added.

Seraj Nanotechnology Company offers two types of nanobubble devices to suit greenhouse conditions; static devices for greenhouses with manual preparation of nutrient solutions, and online devices for systems equipped with hydroponic feeding automation.

Experts predict that the use of nanobubble technology can bring a yield increase of between 5 and 30 percent for greenhouse growers.
