Iranian Firm Makes Smart Medical Assistant System, Automatic Tree Grafting Device

Amir Hossein Seyyedi, the managing director of the company, stressed the challenges of electronic prescription writing by the physicians, saying that the company has designed an artificial intelligence-based system to settle the problem.
“The system, called Houpad Med, uses similarity algorithms to recognize the doctor's handwriting and allows the prescription to be written with a pen on an LCD screen. After approval, the prescription is automatically registered in the insurance organization's system, eliminating the need for the doctor to visit insurance portals,” he added.
“In addition to increasing work efficiency by 40 percent, this system has also integrated modules such as electronic patient records, online scheduling, and accounting tools,” Seyyedi said.
He described automatic tree grafting machine as another product of his company, and said, “It was originally designed for pistachio trees but is now used for all garden crops.”
Seyyedi noted that 60 percent of manual grafting is unsuccessful, while the accuracy of this machine has reached 90 percent.
In a relevant development in January, a technological company in Iran had also found a method to increase the accuracy of blood sugar measurements before and after meals for all age and sensitive groups, including the newborns and pregnant women.
“This device is connected to a mobile phone through the software we have designed for it, and all patient information is available to the person on the mobile phone, and based on this data, doctors can easily make decisions about choosing an insulin dose,” said Mahvash Abyari, the managing director of the technological company.
Noting that the blood sugar test device is based on the new blood sugar analytical scanning technology which can help patients reduce blood sugar fluctuations, she said, “People with diabetes can access all blood sugar information and analytical and practical reports of their blood sugar by scanning the device.”
Abyari stated that the device is able to store 880 blood sugar tests in the device's internal memory, record blood sugar before or after meals, measure blood sugar levels within five seconds, and enjoys the technology for automatically correcting the date and time of blood sugar test results.
