Deputy Minister: Iran’s Petrochemical Firms Close to Production of 100 Million Tons of Products

The petrochemical industry is on the verge of reaching a production capacity of 100 million tons, said Abbaszadeh.
He added that feedstock has been delivered to several petrochemical units, which are expected to become operational within the next few months.
Abbaszadeh had announced in February that the country exported nearly $12 billion dollars of petrochemicals in the first 11 months of the current Persian calendar year (to end on March 20).
“The total export of the petrochemical industry in the first 11 months was about $12 billion, of which $9.14 billion was supplied,” said Abbaszadeh.
"Our estimate is that in March, the country's petrochemical industry will earn about $800 million to $1 billion in foreign exchange, and the total export of the petrochemical industry this year will reach $13 billion," he added.
