Disinfection of Air with Iran-Made ‘Cold Electronic Plasma’ Device
“The device is capable of disinfecting the air from pathogenic agents, specially viruses, by using the plasma sun tube technology, and it also produces ozone gas at a controlled level,” Masoud Jabbari, the managing-director of ‘Kahroba Pardazesh Tavan’ company which is supported by Islamic Azad University’s Najafabad branch, told ANA on the sidelines of Asreh Omid event in Tehran.
“The electrons in the plasma cloud produced in this product have a temperature of 16,000 degrees Celsius which destroys and deactivates the DNA or RNA of pathogenic agents, specially viruses, and they are no longer capable of causing disease,” he added.
Jabbari noted that the ionizing system also destroys or deactivates viruses and bacteria by bombarding them, adding that the air is sucked into the device by a blower installed at the back and then it passes through the strong electron plasma and exits from the front side of the device.”
“As a result, the air coming out of the device is purified and disinfected from pathogenic agents, specially viruses. Spreading controlled amounts of ozone gas in the environment disinfects the air, surfaces and pores. It also removes unpleasant odors from the environment as well as the cigarette or hookah smoke. The device consumes little electricity and does not need replacement of parts for a long time,” he said.
Jabbari stated that the product can disinfect the air by using high frequency cold plasma technology to produce very high voltage in a tiny fraction of a second.
Islamic Azad University's "second step of revolution" under the title of Asreh Omid Event was held in Tehran's Mosalla from May 29 to June 01, 2022 to exhibit new achievements, equipment and products in the technological and innovation arenas in line with opening new windows towards strengthening the idea of creating ground for knowledge-based businesses at the 40th anniversary of establishment of the Islamic Azad University.
