Iranian Researcher Produces Herbal Detergent to Clean Pets Healthily
Maryam Nikoharf, a participant at the Asreh Omid Event, told ANA about the production of detergents and semi-synthetic drugs related to all pets and horses, including shampoo, mane and tail conditioner, fly repellent and pain killers.
“These detergents and semi-synthetic products are related to pets. By pets, I mean different types of pets which also includes animals like horses. They include horse shampoo, horse mane and tail softener, fly and insect repellent sprays, a series of pain killer gels, etc.,” she added.
As regard the advantages of its manufactured products compared to other health products, the Eksir Saman Salamat Company manager said, “Our products for horses are almost new because most of the products in the market are imported from othre countreids. And there are problems with those data-x-items because most of them are smuggled into the country and [therefore cannot be trusted as they could be of low quality].”
Nikooharf pointed out that the products available in the market are produced from chemeical materials, and are actually poisons. But, she added that, their products are herbal and are safe to be used for pets and animals.
“For example, the shampoos for ticks on horses are produced from chemicals, actually poisons are used to make them, while we used herbal extracts that do not endanger the animal's health and are safer for the person who keeps the animal or the pet. This is perhaps another distinguishing feature of our products compared to others,” the researcher said.
She said that they are also making cosmetic data-x-items jointly with a Canadian firm.
Regarding the support provided by the Islamic Azad University to their company, Nikooharfe said, "I am the quality check manager of a cosmetic company. To be honest, the Islamic Azad University has paid more attention for one or two years thank before. They encourage us a lot and are eager to do these things. The university is going to give me a workshop in the University Park so that I can locate my work there."
The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
