Iranian Inventor Unveils Smart Elastic Radiator with Medical Application
In parts of the body where we feel pain, the system can be used for physiotherapy without the possibility of electric shock and excess energy consumption, Pouya Faeqi, the project manager at Faeq Sanat Shayegan Gostar Company, told ANA.
The portable elastic radiator is able to adjust the heat and prevent leakage, he said, adding that it can be used as a mattress or quilt.
One of the most important features of the system is that it can be bent at different angles and has no size limit and can control the temperature.
The company is also active in designing and producing medical equipment, as well as rehabilitation, dental, medical, laboratory, and hospital engineering equipment.
A total of 227 knowledge-based firms are supplying medical equipment for health centers across the country, according to the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.
Iran is currently exporting medical equipment to 63 countries, including the European, Asian, and South American states, Director-General of the Iranian Food and Drug Administration (IFDA) for Medical Equipment Affairs Rouhollah Mazinani said earlier this year.
Nearly 45 percent of the country’s requirements in the field of medical, dentistry, laboratory, clinical, hospital equipment, and related industries are produced inside the country in line with the policy of reducing imports, Mazinani said.
Earlier, Chairman of the Biotechnology Development Council of Iran Mostafa Qaneyee had praised the Iranian knowledge-based companies for the production of medical equipment, special to fight against coronavirus, with a quality as high as the western products.
