Iranian Firm Produces Advanced Equipment for Safe Storage of Blood, Vaccines
“Our company produces a variety of devices that are mainly designed to store laboratory materials. These products include laboratory refrigerators, laboratory freezers, blood bank refrigerators, minus 40 and minus 80-degree freezers, freeze-drying devices, and germinators,” said Pouria Bozorgkhou, the managing director of the company.
Noting that laboratory materials require specific storage conditions, he said, “For instance, blood must be stored at a temperature of plus 4 degrees, blood plasma at temperatures of minus 18 to minus 40 degrees, and vaccines and serums are also preserved at temperatures below minus 60 degrees, and our equipment meets these needs.”
Bozorgkhou also referred to the freeze dryer product, and said, "This device is one of our outstanding products, which is used to dry laboratory materials. With this device, water and moisture are completely removed from the samples, allowing for their long-term storage. This process turns the materials into powder and prevents them from being damaged."
In a relevant development in November, Iranian researchers at a knowledge-based company succeeded in manufacturing and exporting laboratory freezers and refrigeration equipment to the regional and African countries.
“We have conducted extensive research in producing laboratory freezers with temperatures of minus 80 and minus 50 degrees Celsius, and they were added to our production line,” said Massoud Seram, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
Noting that laboratory freezers are one of the most basic refrigeration and cooling devices that can maintain temperatures in very precise conditions, he said, “These devices consist of a cooling device and a suitable insulator that prevents the transfer of temperature to the outside.”
“At present, we are producing cube, flake and powder ice machines, and various types of ovens and laboratory chambers. Our products are manufactured based on the international standards and are under strict quality control,” Seram said.
“Our products have been exported to different countries like the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Turkmenistan and Nigeria, and we hope to expand our exports to other parts of the world,” he noted.
