Reza Roqanizadegan, the managing-director of the company noted that the product is used in tile and ceramic, rubber, paint and textiles plants,  as one of the company's research fields, adding, “Our materials are used as antibacterial and anti-UV additives, and as curing activators in the rubber industry and as hydrogen sulfide gas absorbers in the catalyst industry.”

“Our product is a nano zinc oxide that contains nanoparticles between 20 and 30 nanometers. This product has a high specific surface area of about 47 square meters per gram, which is why it has much greater surface activity and reactivity than micro materials, and this has led to the company's nanoparticles having much wider applications in industries than micro materials,” he added.

“At present, these materials have been applied in the rubber and leather industries. These industries use the nanomaterials as a curing agent or vulcanization process,” Roqanizadegan said.

Zinc oxide nanoparticles are tiny particles of zinc oxide that can act as antibacterial agents and photocatalysts when exposed to UV light or sunlight, generating reactive oxygen species that can damage bacterial membranes.

Zinc oxide nanomaterials have been widely used in photocatalysis, cosmetics, and biosensing due to their unique properties, such as wide bandgap semiconductor and UV absorption.
