Iran to Hold 2nd Int’l Cancer Genomics Congress

The Congress, which examines the latest events and technological achievements in the field of cancer genetics, will be held in cooperation by the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, domestic and foreign scientific associations, student scientific associations, provincial representatives, universities, research and treatment centers, science and technology parks and incubator centers across the country.

One of the most important goals of this congress is to gather and create an interdisciplinary interactive space among researchers, medical professionals and students of bioinformatics, biotechnology, biology, doctors and immunology active in the field of cancer. In this congress, the latest scientific achievements in the field of molecular diagnosis, personalized medicine and targeted cancer treatment will be presented and analyzed.

Also, on the sidelines of the congress, a student festival will be held with the aim of informing and familiarizing students with the scientific and commercialization paths of the cancer field and helping to develop the talents of the country's student community.

A commercialization festival will also be held in this event to develop the business environment of knowledge-based companies, accelerators and start-up companies active in the field of cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Also, the cancer prevention and early detection campaign will be held on the sidelines of this congress with the participation of the National Cancer Network, with participation of over 60 NGO-based charities.
