Iranian Engineers Develop Software for Smartization of Integrated Mine Planning, Control
“The smart mining software, with the ability to predict based on the extracted models, is a suitable tool for planning and control,” said Omid Reza Ajdari, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
“This system is a tool that, by having different modules, eases the management of mine planning and provides various management reports to control and evaluate the performance of each department in such a way that there is the ability to define daily, monthly and annual plans, enter performance information and finally determine deviation from plans,” he added.
“Connecting to machines, receiving real-time information from them, displaying and tracking their performance on the map (dispatching) are other capabilities of the smart service,” Ajdari said.
He underlined that in designing the mine management dashboard system they paid special attention to the use of Internet of Things (IOT) technology and the collection of data required for the management and control of mines.
In a relevant development in February, specialists of an Iranian knowledge-based company in Iran succeeded in designing a ‘mine management system’ to collect and store specialized data related to the country's mines.
“Actually, when a mine is monitored, mapped and studied, valuable data is obtained during a time-consuming process. This information should be stored on a database. This smart system is an accurate and lifelong information bank for storing data obtained from mines,” Ehsan Hosseinpour, the project control manager of the knowledge-based firm, told ANA.
Noting that a remarkable point about the system is the addition of the functionality of mining engineering software (both exploration and design phase) for employers, he said, “In addition to using mining information management services, the users can also use application software for mining engineering.”
“In addition to using the facilities inside the system, consulting and monitoring services are also provided to the users based on the concluded contract,” Hosseinpour said.
“At present, the mine management system is being used in the mines of three regions in Iran, including Kerman, Bandar Abbas and Zanjan,” he underlined.
