Iranian Company Develops Software for Determining Granularity of Mineral Stones
The company’s web-based software was designed and produced to determine the granularity of mineral stones in the shortest possible time and with high accuracy.

Image analysis is the most common method for evaluating crushing and determining fire patterns (one of the production stages in open and open-air mines) due to the low operating cost and time.
Various measures have been taken in different places in order to determine the granularity of the crushed stone mass using image analysis software.
However, the results of the software have been used without checking and validation in most cases due to the heavy costs and non-operational nature of the screening analysis process.
The software for determining the granularity of mineral stones which was designed and produced by one of the knowledge-based companies with the support of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, is a web-based software.
It provides an algorithm based on image processing methods, neural networks, and artificial intelligence.
The software determines the size of fragments or granulation of crushed stone caused by explosions in mines and provides related statistical data relying on modern methods, in the shortest possible time and in an optimal way.
The increase in efficiency, and the ability to operate according to the request of the employer in different mines, are among the salient features of the software.
A total of 8,034 knowledge-based companies have so far been established across the country.
Having 81 different types of minerals, Iran is one of the top 10 mineral-rich countries across the globe. In this regard, the Iranian government is pursuing several programs for promoting the mining sector as a major contributor to the country’s economic growth.
