Veterinary Hospital in Iran Equipped with High-Tech, Knowledge-Based Infrastructure
The hospital and its advanced equipment are among the important technological and knowledge-based infrastructures in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, said Shahab Salehian, an expert in the operating room of the hospital.
This issue has provided a suitable platform for the scientific progress of students, he added.
The veterinary hospital of the Islamic Azad University, Shahr-e Kord branch, has excellent facilities and a platform that promotes the advancement of science and knowledge among students, Salehian remarked.
Thanks to its technological and knowledge-based infrastructure, the hospital provides services in the field of diagnosis and treatment of diseases, providing management solutions, and controlling diseases in poultry and aquatic animals.
Salehian made the remarks on the sidelines of the national Asreh Omid Event which was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams, and startups.
The hospital is equipped with advanced surgical instruments and beds, anesthesia systems and automatic anesthesia injection pumps, radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and electrocardiography systems.
Artificial insemination and fertility services to livestock farmers are offered even to neighboring provinces, he said, adding that general and specialized surgery courses are also offered.
Moreover, soft tissue surgeries, orthopedics, cesarean section, all types of abdominal surgeries, treating all kinds of lameness and problems in motor organs, hard birth, dissection, as well as biochemistry, microbial and bacterial tests are done in the hospital.
Salehian highlighted the significance of Asreh Omid Event as it helped revive the infrastructure for veterinary science which leads to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in animals.
Iran is currently exporting medical equipment to 63 countries, including the European, Asian, and South American states, Director-General of the Iranian Food and Drug Administration (IFDA) for Medical Equipment Affairs Rouhollah Mazinani said earlier this year.
Nearly 45 percent of the country’s requirements in the field of medical, dentistry, laboratory, clinical, hospital equipment, and related industries are produced inside the country in line with the policy of reducing imports, Mazinani said.
Earlier, Chairman of the Biotechnology Development Council of Iran Mostafa Qaneyee had praised the Iranian knowledge-based companies for the production of medical equipment, special to fight against coronavirus, with a quality as high as the western products.
