Iran-Made Technological Products in Renewable Energy Sector Unveiled
“So far, 41 ideas and products from all research centers that are members of the consortium of renewable energy have been presented in Asreh Omid event,” Mehdi Nakisa, the head of the Consortium said.
“However, due to space limitations, only six products were exhibited,” he said, adding that the first product was the new hull designed for high-speed vessels.
The new design will increase the floating speed by about 15 percent and reduce the fuel consumption by about eight percent, he explained.
In addition to reducing fuel consumption, this product will increase the speed of motorcycles and increase their efficiency.
The design is projected to update the automotive industry, especially to reduce air pollution and reduce the friction of engine parts.
He referred to the construction of a solar tracker to extract maximum solar power, saying that the product aims to help increase productivity by about 30 percent by changing the direction of solar panels.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Nakisa pointed out another product namely a remote-controlled switch, saying that the product is designed to control electrical appliances remotely both via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to increase security.
He added that the product has the ability to define a password as well as a timeline to turn it on and off.
Another product has been developed with the aim of increasing efficiency using renewable energies to provide electricity to remote areas and manufacturing equipment needed by the electricity industry.
Helical vertical wind turbines were also developed in order to use wind energy, which is one of the most important new and renewable energies available, clean and compatible with nature. They can significantly reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gases.
This turbine can be used for lighting roads and beautifying squares in cities.
Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams, and startups.
The Vice Presidency for Science and Technology has identified and supported technological projects in the fields of new and renewable energy, electricity, and power plants.
Limited fossil energy resources and problems caused by greenhouse gas emissions have made it necessary to pay more attention to renewable energies. The access of developing countries to all kinds of new energy sources is essential for their economic development.
Considering the favorable and appropriate capacity of renewable energies in the country, the development of these valuable resources seems important, as it leads to sustainable development.
