Iran Exports over 15 Billion Dollars of Crude in 4 Months
Iran’s foreign trade value, including oil exports, has reached 51 billion dollars in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year, Rezvanifar said.
He added that 18.5 billion dollars of commodities were imported into the country during the first four months of the current year, down by 6 percent compared to the same period last year.
The country’s non-oil trade is negative by 1 billion dollars, Rezvanifar said.
According to him, considering 800 million dollars of gold bar imports and 15.7 billion dollars of oil exports, the country's total foreign trade amounts to 51 billion dollars, implying a positive 14.8 billion dollars.
The value of the petrochemical products exports reached 7.7 billion dollars during the first four months of this year.
United Arab Emirates, China, Turkey, and India were the main destinations of Iran’s exports during the period.
The volume of transit has risen by 59 percent during the period as well, he said.
Rezvanifar had also announced in January that the country had exported 101.904 million tons of non-oil goods valued at $36.43 billion during the first nine months of the past Persian calendar year (ended on March 19).
Rezvanifar underlined that the nine-month non-oil exports indicates 26.48 percent growth in weight, but 0.68 percent fall in value, year on year, adding that the country's exports in the first nine months of this year, including oil, electricity, and technical and engineering services, and excluding the export via suitcase trade, reached $63.97 billion.
He put the value of the exports of oil at $26.46 billion, electricity at $300 million, and technical and engineering services at $780 million in the first nine months of the past year.
Rezvanifar also said that Iran has imported 28.7 million tons of goods worth over $48.4 billion in the first nine months of the past year, of which $60 million was the value of electricity import.
The nine-month import indicates a 12.29 percent rise in value and six percent growth in weight, year on year, he added.
The deputy economy minister also said that the imports of basic goods to the country reached 18.374 million tons in the first 9 months of the current year, valued at $12.116 billion.
