Iran’s National Power Grid Length Reaches to Over 1 Million Km
Speaking to reporters in the capital Tehran, Tavanir CEO Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi said that the rate of power consumption in Iran during hot summer days has hit a new record high of 77,000 Megawatt.
He called on the people to help Tavanir to manage power consumption during the peak hours of the day, while stressing that there will be no disruption in the power supply to the people and industries if the people help the company with their proper use of the energy.
Rajabi Mashhadi noted that during hot summer days, demand for electricity goes up very high and exercises a lot of pressure on the national grid.
The length of Iran's electricity network is more than one million kilometers, he further said, noting, “The rate of power outages has decreased over the last three years and per subscriber has improved from 1.231 minutes each day in the year 1400 in the Iranian calendar (March 21, 2021-22) to 1.06 at the end of last year of 1402 (March 21, 2023-24).”
He further voiced hope that power outage rate will continue to decrease this year of 1403 (March 21, 2024-25.)
