Iran Officially Participates in Expo 2025 in Japan

TEHRAN (ANA)- Iran will introduce its export capabilities in different fields of industry and technology at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) has said.

According to a report by the public relations department of TPOI, Japan Expo 2025 is one of the largest industry and technology exhibitions in the world. The Islamic Republic of Iran has also obtained the opportunity to take part in the exhibition to have a chance to introduce Iran's capabilities in technology and industry fields.

According to its official website, the Expo 2025 is an upcoming World Expo organized and sanctioned by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), which will be held in Osaka, Japan.

Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai will provide the world with an opportunity to come together in one place to explore the theme of “life.” This Expo will facilitate interactions between people with diverse values from around the world, resulting in new human networks and creative endeavours.

The TPOI report said that Iran's official participation agreement in Expo 2025 Osaka-Japan was signed between Ahmadreza Alaei Tabatabai, the chairman of the board of directors who is the high representative of Iran at the Japan Expo and the secretary general of Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition.

A total of 161 countries and regions as well as nine international organizations have confirmed participation in the expo.

On 26 June 2024, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”), concluded the two-day International Participants Meeting 2024 Summer (hereinafter referred to as “IPM2024 Summer”).

Japan will be organising the next World Expo in Osaka, Kansai, from 13 April to 13 October 2025. Osaka is hoping to welcome 28 million visitors to Expo, which will focus on the theme Designing Future Society for Our Lives, the Expo's webiste reported.
