Iran, US Trade Exceeds 30 Million Dollars in 1st Four Months of Current Year
The US Census Bureau announced in its latest report that the exchanges between Iran and the United States reached $30.6 million in the first 4 months of this year, indicating a 72% increase compared to the same period last year.
From January to April 2023, $17.8 million goods were traded between the two countries.
According to the report, in the first 4 months of 2024, the value of American exports to Iran increased by 51% and as they recorded to be %26.5 million. This is while, in the first 4 months of 2023, as much as $17.5 million worth of goods had been exported from the US to Iran.
The US imports from Iran in the first 4 months of 2024 witnessed a 13% growth ($4.1 million) from $300,000 in the months of January to April last year.
Overall, the trade between Iran and US is not a significant portion in the total trade of the two countries with the other countries in world. Iran ranked 153 among the export destinations of the United States in 4 months of 2024 and ranked 168 among its import origins.
