Knowledge-Based Companies in Iran Ready to Help Athletes
“We are trying to make a right policy and increase the capacity of domestic production with the help of knowledge-based companies. Of course, we need domestic investors and government support to this end so that we can produce most of the goods inside Iran based on the standards and with good quality, and export them to other states, specially the neighbors,” Alireza Kalantari, the caretaker of Sports Economy Partnerships and Investment Center, told ANA.
“We have recently started negotiations with the knowledge-based companies for production of sportswear and equipment,” he added.
Elaborating on the sports equipment produced inside Iran with the help of knowledge-based companies, Kalantari said that the movement analysis device is made without the need for cameras and sensors which is connected to the athlete's body and analyzes her/his movements and identifies her/his mistakes.
He added that a ball thrower has also been made in the Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences along with a special carbon claw for disabled people.
Kalantari said that a knowledge-based company named ‘Iranian Sakht Koshan’ has developed a digital and laser measuring device that can take a test from an athlete without the presence of an expert and analyze it instantly.
“It was also decided that the Sports Technology Center will be established jointly with the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Science. We are supposed to help this center bring their sports products into the market and use their capacity to promote technology in the country's sports,” he added.
Iran has been experiencing a threefold growth of knowledge-based companies since beginning of the current year (starting March 21, 2022), a report said.
Based on the official figures, total number of Iran's knowledge-based companies has surpassed 7,000 which says the country has been witnessing a threefold growth in this regard.
