Iran Unveils 18 Innovative Agricultural Industry Products
The products were unveiled in the presence of Mohammad Sadeq Khayyatian, the head of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund of Iran and Mojtaba Khayyam Nekouyee, the head of the Agricultural Research, Education and Promotion Organization of Iran.
The innovative plans and products included water pressure sensor, multipurpose farm, grape rootstock resistant to crown cancer, Capparis Spinosa L seedling production, gricultural management assistant, wood vinegar, eggplant hybrid seed production, microbial test device and production of two varieties of corn.
An agricultural official in Iran announced in February that the country exports the products of its knowledge-based companies that are operating in the field of agriculture to 30 countries.
“Out of 500 companies active in the field of agriculture, 47 companies have been picked to participate in this event,” said Javadi, the secretary of the first edition of NamadIran Event (Iran's national exhibition of knowledge-based economy in the field of agriculture and food security) which was held on February 13, 2024 in Tehran.
Stating that along with knowledge-based companies, unions and associations had also participated in the event, he added, “We are still far away from desired level in the knowledge-based agriculture sector, and only 5% of those companies are operating in the agriculture sector, and most of them are start-up companies.”
Javadi further expressed his unhappiness with the situation in the field of inputs, harvesting and planting, our situation is not favorable.
The secretary of the NamadIran, which introduced the best knowledge-based companies in the agricultural field further said, “We have 524 knowledge-based companies in the agricultural field. There are also 854 products in this field.”
