Iran to Expand Technological Cooperation with Venezuela's Telecommunications Company
The managers of the Venezuelan Telecommunications Company, who recently traveled to Iran to review and visit the stages of implementation of the contract signed with Iran, held a meeting with Mirabadi.
“We want to be a strong partner for Venezuela in the field of technology, and we hope that this relationship and contract will be a bridge for the presence of a group of (the Iranian) knowledge-based and technological companies in Venezuela,” Mirabadi said during the meeting.
Meantime, Marcano, the director-general of Planning and Technology Development of Venezuela's Telecommunications Company, pointed to Iran's great ability and progress in the field of technology, and expressed the hope that Venezuela's telecommunications would also be able to be modernized and equipped by using the capabilities of the Iranian companies.
The official stated that the purpose of the trip, which included a group of experts and senior managers of Venezuela's telecommunication company, was to plan for the development of Venezuela's infrastructure in line with the 2030 plan for the modernization of the country's telecommunications industry.
Earlier, in June, Mirabadi had announced the expansion of joint science and technology cooperation with Venezuela.
"During the recent visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Venezuela, the Iranian Knowledge- based company sent some samples of its products, and the process of registering these machines in Venezuela has started," he said.
Mirabadi pointed out that Iran and Venezuela agreed to set up a hemodialysis machine assembly line with the capacity to produce 1,000 machines per year, and stated that the manufacturing of this product would cover both Venezuela and the Latin American region.
