Assessment of Performance of Steel Industry Equipment by Iran-Made Advanced Test System
“Our company has geotechnical and chemical laboratories, corrosion laboratory, metallurgical laboratory and corrosion monitoring and technical inspection departments,” said Iman Pourzargar, a member of the board of directors of the knowledge-based company.
He described the TOEFL polarization corrosion test as one of the special and unique projects of the technological group, and said, “It is one of the most common tests to evaluate the corrosion resistance of metals and coatings.”
Pourzargar underlined that the existence of standard tests and knowledge-based laboratory complexes as a guarantee for the production of competitive research-oriented products in the market.
Earlier, in August, an Iranian nanotechnology company had also managed to produce a special zirconia coating which an boost the anti-corrosion properties of metals.
‘Schiller Farayand Pars’ company made the product which is a nano-thick zirconia coating that can be applied on steel and aluminum substrates to provide a better corrosion performance.
It is a lightweight, cost-effective, and non-hazardous coating that can tightly adhere to the underlying substrate.
The deposition of a nano-thick zirconia coating has led to improved corrosion resistance and better adhesion to the underlying metallic substrates.
The product protects metallic components from corrosive and chemical agents.
