Tunisia's Foreign Investment Up 13.5 Percent in 2023
TEHRAN (ANA)- Tunisia's foreign investment increased by about 13.5 percent to 2,522.3 million Tunisian dinars (809.6 million U.S. dollars) in 2023, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) revealed.
According to FIPA, Tunisia's foreign direct investment and portfolio investment amounted to 2,385.5 million dinars and 136.8 million dinars, respectively, in 2023.
It added that the most significant increase was observed in the manufacturing industry, which saw foreign investment up by 13.8 percent to total around 1,480.3 million dinars.
Meanwhile, FIPA said the foreign investment in Tunisia's agricultural sector reached 17.9 million dinars, up from 9.6 million dinars the previous year but still lower than expected.
