Iranian Company Manufactures Special Condenser for All Types of Gases
“This device is able to produce ultra-cold temperature up to -200 centigrade and can condense all gases whose condensing temperature is higher than this temperature,” said Meysam Farajollahi, the head of the Center for the Management of Macro and Progressive Projects of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.
“The condensing capacity of the condenser is different based on the condensation temperature and phase change enthalpy of the gases. The higher the temperature of the gas condensate or the lower its internal energy, the condensing capacity of the device increases,” he added.
Noting that the condensing capacity of the device is equal to 25 liters of liquid nitrogen (LN2) per day for nitrogen gas with a boiling point of -196 degrees Celsius and 50 liters per day for argon gas with a boiling point of -186 degrees Celsius, Farajollahi said, “This condenser is proper for all types of industrial, medical and laboratory applications.”
“Easy installation and use, small and convenient dimensions, full automaticity and low energy consumption are among the features of the device,” he added.
In systems involving heat transfer, a condenser is a heat exchanger used to condense a gaseous substance into a liquid state through cooling. In so doing, the latent heat is released by the substance and transferred to the surrounding environment.
Condensers are used for efficient heat rejection in many industrial systems. Condensers can be made according to numerous designs and come in many sizes ranging from rather small (hand-held) to very large (industrial-scale units used in plant processes). For instance, a refrigerator uses a condenser to get rid of heat extracted from the interior of the unit to the outside air.
