Iranian Knowledge-Based Firm Domestically Produces Chemical Reactors
"Making devices to pave the wary for production of pharmaceutical raw materials is among our research fields," said Khosro Malek Khosravi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, adding, “These devices are able to produce medicinal raw materials in volumes ranging from one liter to 50 liters.”
He considered the spray dryer as one of their company’s products, saying, “Spray drying is a method to transform fluid into dried particles and reducing the moisture of the materials. It operates to prepare granules or fine particles by spraying materials and their proximity with a hot gaseous agent. Desiccants are used in various industries such as food and pharmaceutical industries, cosmetic industries and detergents producers.
The managing director of the knowledge-based company pointed to “chemical reactors”, which are also called “pilot reactors”, among other products of the company and said, “This reactor is made of Pyrex glass in different volumes that is resistant to temperature and chemical solvents. The reactor is used to perform reactions such as synthesis, polymerization, titration and distillation.”
He considered the simplicity and availability of the spare parts as one of the most important advantages of the pilot reactor, adding, “This device is much lower priced and comes out in more diverse models in volume and size than similar foreign equivalents.”
“Distillation and reflux in one device, using five different reactor volumes with one device, using two reactor heating methods at the same time with one device, easy washing of all components, utilizing electronic and mechanical parts at European standards and vacuum maintenance during operation are some of the other advantages of the device (pilot reactor),” Malek Khosravi further noted.
He added that his company has entered negotiations to begin exporting its products.
