Advanced Ion Meter Device Indigenized in Iran

TEHRAN (ANA)- Specialists of an Iranian knowledge-based company stationed at the Science and Technology Park of Isfahan province succeeded in producing material conductivity testing or advanced ion meter device for application in industrial laboratories.
News ID : 4814

“This device enjoys the capability of ion and electron conduction of all systems of batteries, electrolyzers (converters of electricity into chemical energy), coatings and membranes, and can measure and monitor materials in these systems,” Mohammad Zhiani, the managing director of the Iranian knowledge-based company, told ANA.

“The remarkable thing about the material conduction or ion meter device is that it measures the materials based on the environmental conditions of the part (like salt conditions, water environment, etc.) and at different temperatures,” he added.

Elaborating on the technological advantage of the product that records the operating conditions inside the cell of the device, Zhiani said, “This device has a central part or the beating heart of the cell where the operating conditions are recorded by the user.”

“Also, the cell section is capable of recording online reports, and moment by moment material conduction process,” he stated.

The ion meters are devices used for measurements of specific ions in the water with use of an ion selective electrode.
In most cases the ion meters enable also simultaneous measurements of pH, mV and temperature, as this additional functions are needed during the ions measurements.
