In this exhibition, 330 knowledge-based companies will present more than 10,000 products, Mashayekh told reporters in a press conference on the 11th edition of the exhibition.

Noting that the exhibition will be held at Tehran International Permanent Fairground, he said that in this exhibition, 8 data-x-items of new testing equipment made by the Iranian experts will be unveiled.

He further stressed the expansion of the market of these companies into the industry sector at the 11th edition of the advanced test equipment exhibition.

Products would be presented in this exhibition are in 14 fields of oil, gas, and petrochemical, electricity, software and simulator, civil and construction, mechanics, chemistry and metallurgy, agriculture and environment, basic physics, general laboratory equipment, equipment and machinery in the field of strategic technologies, medical engineering and biomaterials, laboratory materials, educational equipment, Industrial testing equipment and calibration service providers.

Iranian Vice-President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-based Economy, Rouhollah Dehqani Firouzabadi announced in December that the country was planning to export laboratory equipment to neighboring countries.

Knowledge-based companies started to meet the country’s technological needs in the past decade, he said, adding that the Vice Presidency supported the companies to manufacture laboratory equipment.

Now, various pieces of laboratory equipment are manufactured at prices much lower than the same foreign products, Dehqani Firouzabadi noted.

Foreign delegations that attend Iranian exhibitions will be familiarized with the country’s capabilities, he said, adding that the export of knowledge-based products was $300 million in the year to March 2021, but increased to $600 million the year after.

The export has surged to $1.5 billion so far in the current Iranian calendar year and is forecast to hit $2 billion by the end of the year, he said.
