Knowledge-Based Firm in Iran Provides Proper Ground for Testing, Measuring Porous Media
Given the necessity for digital development in Iran’s industries and services and in line with the global developments in this field and the necessity for setting aside the costly and time-consuming traditional methods, a knowledge-based company in Iran has dedicated its activities to the field of digital laboratory for porous medium.
Ali Misaqi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, noted that the idea of digital laboratory of the porous medium was initially started with digital rock physics experiments.
“The digital laboratory has applications in assessment of the static and dynamic parameters of the porous medium including porosity, permeability, relative permeability, size and shape of holes, capillary pressure, mineralogy and many features of the porous medium in the fields of geology, petroleum engineering, metallurgy, concrete industries, dentistry, medicine, catalysts, etc.,” he said.
Porous media are solid materials that are composed of pore structures, which are typically fluid filled in biological applications.
Porous media can have very different topographical and morphological properties based on the internal organization of the pores.
