Iranian Experts Manufacture Home-Made Computer Servers
“One of the requirements for indigenization of the country's telecommunication infrastructure is the use of home-made equipment that can gradually make us self-sufficient,” Parsa Afshar, an information technology expert of the company, told ANA.
“Our company has been able to produce indigenous servers with home-made chipsets. Even the design of the BIOS and the installed software were carried out by the Iranian experts. These servers may not be comparable to the big brands in the world but they can be used for small companies or relatively large organizations and offices,” he added.
“These servers are fully verified by the relevant authorities and organizations in terms of quality and efficiency, and they are equal to foreign samples in terms of their application anywhere. In the meantime, their price is one fifth of the foreign products,” Afshar noted.
In a relevant development in August, another technological company in Iran had also inaugurated its data center infrastructure and facilities to offer dedicated services to customers.
The technological company designed and inaugurated the first phase of a data center called "Abar Rahbar" with a capacity of 100 racks along with own exclusive electrical substation.
A dedicated network, servers and storage are a few resources that this data center as a service (DCaaS) offers.
In line with the goal of strengthening the digital economy and also using the technical knowhow of domestic experts, this data center has 24-hour support and is ready to provide "colocation" and "dedication" services immediately after its inauguration.
Providing data center services and cloud processing is one of the main objective of the company in building the data center.
