Nearly 53 Million Tourists Visit Turkiye in 11 Months

Among the tourists, 46.7 million were foreigners, and about 6 million were Turkish citizens residing abroad, the data revealed, adding the number of foreign visitors increased by 10.82 percent compared to the same period last year.

In the ranking of countries sending the most tourists to Turkiye in Jan.-Nov., Russia topped the list with more than 6 million visitors, followed by Germany with 5.9 million visitors and Britain with 3.7 million visitors.

In November alone, 2.5 million foreigners visited Turkiye, the ministry data showed. Russians topped the ranking, followed by Germans, Bulgarians, Iranians, and Georgians.

The number of Chinese tourists to Turkiye reached 198,000 in the first 10 months of this year, surpassing the 89,000 Chinese tourists for the entire year of 2022, Anadolu news agency reported.
