FM Moncada Calls for Iranian Knowledge-Based Firms’ Active Presence in Nicaragua
Moncada made the remarks during a visit to Iran's House of Innovation and Technology (iHiT) in the presence of Amir Hossein Mirabadi, the head of the Center for International Science and Technology Interactions of Iran at Tehran International Permanent Fairground.
He also voiced surprise of Iran's knowledge-based achievements, saying, “Our country requests cooperation and technology transfer from Iranian companies in various fields, specially fisheries, agriculture, renewable energy, health, etc.”
Mirabadi, for his part, underlined the capabilities of knowledge-based companies in various areas, including agriculture, energy (oil, petrochemical, etc.), health, medical equipment, and producing games and animation.
He also talked and exchanged opinions with the Nicaragua foreign minister on the further expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries, specially in the field of technology.
In a relevant development in February, Head of University of Tehran's Science and Technology Park Ali Assadi underlined preparedness to obviate needs of Nicaragua in different technological fields, specially in oil, petrochemical, and agricultural sectors.
Assadi made the remarks in a meeting with the Nicaraguan ambassador to Tehran.
He noted that the Science and Technology Park of University of Tehran enjoys capabilities to develop its activities in a wide range of scientific fields in cooperation with universities and the government of Nicaragua.
Assadi said that the Iranian knowledge-based companies have managed to create capacities to neutralize the sanctions imposed on the country.
Bravo, for his part, said that relations between Iran and the Latin American countries, specially Nicaragua, has grown stronger during President Rayeesi's term.
He stressed common grounds of Iran and Nicaragua, specially in the fight against colonialism and imperialism, and called for formation of a joint science and technology committee between the two countries.
