Iranian Company Produces Medical Moulages, Manikins for Training Nurses
“Our company started its activity 15 years ago with production of simple training moulages and mannequins. Later, we developed the business and today we have moved towards intelligent moulages and manikins,” Shoja Hashemi, the Chairman of the board of directors of a knowledge-based company said.
“Injection is among daily routine works of a doctor or a nurse. Vein detection and injection cannot be practiced on humans; rather, it should be done on simulators that are similar to anatomy of the human body,” he added
“Analyzing, examining and getting feedback from manikins becomes possible using artificial intelligence. For example, by equipping the recovery mankins with artificial intelligence, it will be possible to know at the end whether the recovery operation was successful or not,” the researcher said.
“In different countries, such as the United States, strict regulations are put on the use of moulages and Mankins. For example State of California has recently passed a law that resuscitation simulators without feedback should not enter the market. This law shows the importance of training processes for doctors.”
Hashemi pointed out that there is a variety of moulages and Manikins for training doctors and nurses in examinations, injections, anatomy, gynecology and obstetrics, emergency and medical emergencies, adding, “Our main customers are medical schools, Red Crescent, emergency, clinics and some cosmetic doctors and surgeons.”
The researcher went on to say that their products are offered at lower prices than the European equivalents, adding, “In some cases, the quality of our products is the same as foreign products or even higher.”
