Who is Ali Ejlali's bodybuilding coach?

TEHRAN (ANA)- Ali Ejlali is a bodybuilder and champion in international tournaments. He was born on April 17, 1988, in the Iranian city of Amol, Mazandaran. He and his family moved to Tehran when he was a child and he got into bodybuilding at the age of 18. This bodybuilder boasts an impressive championship record. His first title was earned in 2005 during his first competition in Tehran at the 220 lbs weight group in which he finished in second place.

He then participated in numerous provincial tournaments and became a member of Iran's national bodybuilding team in 2009. At the time, he had not practiced with any renowned trainers. In 2014, he decided to pursue academic studies in the field of bodybuilding. As a result, he obtained a coaching certificate from the World Physique and Bodybuilding Federation (WBPF), which marked the beginning of his coaching career.

Later on, Ejlali sought the guidance of famous bodybuilding trainers, which contributed to his successive victories in Asian and European championships. Thanks to these achievements, he established himself as a professional bodybuilder and bodybuilding coach.

Introducing Ali Ejlali's Bodybuilding Coach

In response to a question about his best trainer, Ali Ejlali bodybuilder responded that all four of his bodybuilding coaches were highly professional and experienced:“I particularly enjoyed working with Jay Cutler and consider George Farah to be one of the most experienced trainers with cutting-edge knowledge of the field”.

He added that before working with any coaches, his first world bodybuilding competition was the Macao Asian Games in 2014, in which he achieved the runner-up position. Later that same year, he came in fourth in the Indian World Championships. In 2015, he claimed fifth place at the 2015 Russian Amateur Mr Olympia, after which he chose Lee Priest as his first bodybuilding coach.

He declared that in 2016, he traveled to the United States to partake in the Arnold Classic while also enrolling in an academic sports program. Nevertheless, the Iranian bodybuilding federation prohibited his participation in these competitions. As a result, he had to forgo the competition and continue the academic program at Alabama's United States Sports Academy and obtain a sports academic degree.

Ejlali explained: "In 2017, George Farah was my second bodybuilding coach and with his help, I was able to participate in the Arnold Classic in South Africa and won a bronze medal." In the same year, he won two gold and one bronze medal in three Franco Columbu competitions in Italy.

Ali Ejlali added: "In 2018, Jay Cutler was my coach. During this period, I attended WNBF programs to hone my professional skills in refereeing and coaching by obtaining the WNBF USA third-degree referee card as well as the WNBF USA third-degree coaching card".

Ejlali's coach for the 2019 Thailand Asian Games was Andy Cunningham. He stated: "With the help of Jay Cutler and then Andy Cunningham, I managed to win the gold medal at the Thailand Asian Games".

Ali Ejlali clarified that he competed without any trainers after 2019, and participated in Thailand's professional bodybuilding competitions from 2022 to 2023 relying on the knowledge he had gained through experience and training programs.

When asked about his current pursuits, Ejlali replied that in addition to coaching, he is now engaged in business, focusing on the production of his own sportswear under the Aliensfit brand in Istanbul, Turkey. This Iranian bodybuilder is currently living in Turkey.
