Iranian Researcher Produces Remote Medical Examination Robotic System
Dr. Mohammad Razi Jalali, the head of the Khuzestan Science and Technology Park, pointed to the design and production of a robotic system for remote control medical examinations by a young inventor from Khuzestan Province in the southwest Iran, adding, “This device, which is being built for the first time in the country, performs the work of remote medical examinations as smart robot.”
“With this smart device, doctors can remotely perform specialized and general examinations for patients and prescribe medicine after diagnosis. Also, patients choose their favored doctor through the application and attend and undergo examination at the appointed time.”
“By this device, currently doctors can carry out examinations such as blood pressure, blood oxygen, online ECG, fever and temperature taking, mouth and dental check, ears and heart check, and other checks and examinations can also be added to the features of the device,” he added.
The head of Khuzestan Science and Technology Park further said, “This device was patented by Milad Behdarvand, one of the members of Khuzestan Science and Technology Park, and its prototype was built with the support of the Science and Technology Park and the efforts of this young and creative inventor.”
He continued to note that the device is especially useful in remote areas where it is difficult for doctors and specialists to be present in medical centers.
