Buildings in large cities that are grappling with air pollution are usually dirty and damaged surfaces. Nano-coatings produced by Nano Faraz Sepahan Company can be applied to concrete, wood, and brick surfaces to prevent the permeation of water into construction materials.

Structures can promote the growth of fungi and bacteria, as a result of construction defects, damp subfloor areas, and buildings exposed to saturated groundwater conditions, excessive condensation, and exposure to constant high humidity, and water ingress events that are not correctly remediated.

There are many ways in which water and moisture can damage a building, these can include obvious water damage caused by weather events, including flooding, burst water pipes, and sewage overflows.

Nano coatings are very interesting for various applications because of their superior properties that are not usually found in conventional coatings. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in available coatings claiming to contain nanoparticles.

For instance, the facade of a building with brick or stone will be polluted with black spots after rainfall because of dust and dirt in the environment.

The nano-coating does not let water be absorbed into the materials. It has a durability of ten to fifteen years with a written guarantee.

The nano-coatings can protect dark stone surfaces, internal and external walls, public buildings such as hospitals, schools, and mosques, as well as ancient and historical sites.

The technology also prevents growing molds and fungi on the surface of buildings.

The Vice Presidency for Science and Technology has supported the company to manufacture the products.

The absorption of water by construction materials can lead to many defects. Reducing mechanical and functional properties of the structure and construction materials are among the defects.

Such effects can also be seen on tiles and ceramics. Recently, the use of nano-based products in the construction industry has increased significantly.

The expansion of nanotechnology export programs in recent years and the establishment of bases for exporting nanotechnology products to China, India, Indonesia, Syria, Turkey, and Iraq have provided the opportunity for the entry of Iranian nanotechnology goods, equipment, and services into global markets.
