‘Planning, assessment and improving the management of operation and maintenance-repair of physical assets in agricultural industries based on developed experimental studies’ is the title of the project that Mehdi Khojastehpour, a faculty member of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad has presented.

“Proper management of operation and maintenance and repairs of all types of physical tools in agricultural industries like machinery and equipment is one of the important things in this industry; therefore, a proper strategy is needed to have proper equipment maintenance and repair plans,” Khojastehpour said.

“In order to achieve this goal, three main steps have been defined, which include planning or developing a process based on recognition of the influencing factors, evaluation based on organized experimental studies, and providing a solution with the aim of improving the processes of managing the operation and maintenance of equipment in agricultural industries,” he added.

Khojastehpour noted that production of technical and management know-how to improve structures, and providing suitable conditions for preparation of practical road map and suitable conditions for continuous monitoring of the performance of equipment and machinery in agricultural industries were among the objectives of this plan.

In a relevant development in July, an Iranian knowledge-based company succeeded in development of a smart automation system which can be used by farmers and cattle breeders.

“Our knowledge-based company is active in the field of consulting, designing, and building smart automation systems for agriculture and animal husbandry, which brings together a number of the best industrial experts in various areas and focuses on the role of modern agriculture in preventing waste,” Ahmad Rouhani, the manager of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.

He added that the smart automation system produced by his company helps monitor the environmental parameters affecting the production process and control it in the shortest possible time.

“The system greatly reduces the amount of capital loss caused by human error or the delay in human reactions and it enjoys the capability to increase the user's ability for future planning and predicting many challenges ahead,” Rouhani said.
