PM: Ukraine Needs to Export 75 Percent of 2023 Harvest
TEHRAN (ANA)- Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that his country needs to export 75 percent of crops from this year's harvest, the government press service reported.
"About 25 percent of the harvested grain is enough for our domestic needs, we need to export the rest," Shmyhal was quoted as saying at a cabinet meeting.
Ukraine is counting on exporting its grain via the European Union countries and Danube River ports, as well as through new "grain corridors," Shmyhal said.
According to the authorities, Ukrainian farmers are expected to reap more than 79 million tons of grain and oilseeds in 2023, up 10 percent from the previous year.
