Iran Launches Production Line of Vacuum Blood Collection Test Tube
Specialists of a knowledge-based company in Iran succeeded in using the indigenous know-how and technology to launch a fully automatic vacuum blood collection test tube production line with a production capacity of 60 million pieces per year for the first time in the country and region.
For the first time in the Middle-East, the technology of coating chemicals in pipes using nozzles based on ultrasonic waves has been used in this production line which is considered as a unique and completely domestic technique which can compete with today's technologies.
Ultrasonic nozzles are a type of spray nozzles that use high-frequency sound waves, beyond the range of human hearing, to atomize and spray solutions. These nozzles are a highly good alternative to normal nozzlesbecause instead of using a compressed gas, they use ultrasound waves to atomize liquid particles.
As a result, the size of the particles obtained by using the ultrasonic nozzle is much smaller and their distribution is much more uniform than the conventional nozzles.
In another development, in August, technologists at a knowledge-based company in Iran that operates in the field of medical equipment had also succeeded in producing Holter blood pressure devices for long-term monitoring of the electrocardiogram (electrical signals) in the heart.
Mohsen Avesta, the managing director of the knowledge-based company Kawshgaran Teb Kharazmi announced the success of Iranian technologists in their firm in designing and producing Holter heart and blood pressure devices.
A Holter blood pressure device monitors electrocardiogram (electrical signals) in the heart and records the changes in blood pressure over a 24-hour period. Holter monitoring of blood pressure evaluates the patient’s blood pressure levels during that period in the normal environment and activities of the patient outside the doctor’s office. The investigation is necessary in case of elevated blood pressure readings to rule out or confirm the diagnosis of hypertension and to evaluate treatment outcomes of previously diagnosed hypertension.
According to Avesta, their company has also succeeded in producing blood pressure analysis and online blood pressure analysis software, with the capability to display and analyze long-term blood pressure data at high speed, the capability to connect to a blood pressure Holter device using a USB port, automatically identify abnormal blood pressure fluctuations, and display reports. A complete set of blood pressure data includes time charts and detailed analysis, the capability to analyze blood pressure data to identify normal and abnormal blood pressure patterns, etc.
“Electrocardiogram (heart tape) analysis software with a simple and understandable user interface, advanced algorithms for analyzing the recorded data. It has the capability to view the results graphically and numerically, the capability to transfer the recorded data to other medical software, etc. It is developed by the engineers at this knowledge-based company,” he went on to say.
