Iranian Researchers Produce Spinning Machine in Creative Way
“Our company is operating in modern rural converting machinery. So far, we have also produced products such as cotton-carding-machine, Injection molding machine, textile machine, etc,” Mehran Zeighami, the technical officer of Mehr Fanavaran Tabash Company, said.
“Our spinning machine has been produced and sold for the first time in Iran. This device is fueled by solar energy. In addition to meeting the needs of society, we also export this device to neighboring countries, especially Afghanistan. Our textile machine is also foldable and easy to transport,” he added.
“About five to six years ago, spinning used to be done in the traditional way with a spindle, which was a very tiring job. The amount of production with the traditional method was also very low. About 300 to 400 grams of wool and silk yarn were produced daily by housewives and the elderly, while they earned very little,” Zeighami went on to say.
“Today, the spinning industry is in the stage of collapse because the old and elderly women who used to do this work have given up and no one wants to do this job anymore due to the difficulty of the work,” the researcher added.
“With this machine, eight times more thread can be produced than the traditional method. Certainly, its income generation is 8 times that of the traditional method, which creates employment for different age groups,” Zaighami added.
“Any industry related to wool and silk yarn can use this machine to produce yarn. We can easily produce yarn and earn money by this machine,” he continued.
“Now the spinning machine is available in the market with the approximate price of $10 while the price of similar foreign-made machine is around $200. We can easily export this device to different countries at a lower price and earn a lot.”
He added that the quality of this device is higher than foreign counterparts.
