Advanced Driver Assistance Device Developed by Iranian Experts
“The main product of our company is the advanced driver assistance system with the LDW capability and warning of collision with objects,” Mohammad Reza Akrami, the manager of the control department of the knowledge-based company stationed at the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran told ANA.
“By using this system, if the car is equipped with electric steering and electric braking, it can automatically act and brake in dangerous situations, or steer the car between the lanes. This system has been designed, built and tested based on 85 vehicle standards (the lane departure warning system standard and the emergency braking system standard),” he added.
Akrami explained that detection of lanes and drivable route and notification of departure from it, detection of vehicles and notification of possible collision, driver monitoring and warning in case of inattention and sleepiness, ability to connect to the car to monitor the health and control of the car, and the ability to record and send video of the road, the driver and other data are among significant features of this system.
“This system also enjoys the capability to log the car's ECU system which means it can command different parts of the car on the OBD2 protocol,” he said.
Also earlier this year, another Iranian knowledge-based company had designed a system that can be utilized for car tracking, troubleshooting, and anti-theft alarming simultaneously.
The product performs three functions professionally and there is no other similar product that can perform like this.
This device can be suitable both for organizations that have many cars and for an individual as well.
In advanced cars, a new Internet-based process for troubleshooting has been defined, where the car owner can embark on troubleshooting through a mobile phone.
