Prevention, Treatment of Viral Respiratory Diseases with Iran-Made Knowledge-Based Spray
“Coldanese nasal spray is used for prevention and treatment of viral diseases, specially cold, keeping nasal passages moist, preventing allergies and allergic rhinitis, and treating runny nose,” said Mehdi Rouhi Razliqi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
He added that the most important feature of the product is prevention and treatment of viral respiratory diseases, including cold and flu.
“This product is completely natural and does not have any side effects and can be used three to four times a day, which reduces the incidence of cold; at the same time, if a person catches a cold, the spray helps to reduce the duration of the cold,” Razliqi said.
Noting that the spray was produced by only two US and Austrian companies in the world, he said that the Iranian researchers managed to indigenize it.
In a relevant development in July, Iranian nanotechnology researchers succeeded in producing silver-based ‘SilvoSept’ wound spray, a special solution for disinfection of acute and chronic wounds.
SilvoSept wound spray can disinfect all types of wounds and destroy a wide range of pathogenic microorganisms, including viruses, bacteria and fungi, due to the presence of silver nanoparticles.
The spray was made in Iran and produced with the help of nanotechnology. It is the product of a knowledge-based company, which has reached the commercialization stage with the support of the headquarters of the development of nano and micro technologies of the Iranian vice-presidency for science, technology and knowledge-based economy.
The spray can prevent the spread of infectious diseases and it is widely used in cases like bedsores, burn wounds, diabetic foot ulcers and surgical wounds.
