Eco-Friendly Electrostatic Powder Paint Produced by Iranian Firm
‘Kian Rangin’ company has made the product which is an electrostatic powder paint composed of epoxy-polyester matrix and specific oxide nanoparticles.
Since the product is more eco-friendly, it may be considered as an alternative to liquid paints.
The incorporation of oxide nanoparticles into the polymer matrix has led to enhanced thermal stability and decreased smoke volume after the paint curing.
The product can be used for painting home appliances, automobile components, metal furniture, office and training equipment, heating and cooling equipment and aluminum profiles.
In a relevant development in July, experts at an Iranian company also used nanoparticles in paint to make it anti-corrosive for application in different key industries.
‘Kimia Qom’ company made the polymer paint with nanoparticles, through which some operational features and anti-corrosion properties are enhanced.
The addition of nanoparticles to the polymer matrix has led to better corrosion resistance, ease of use and stronger adhesion to the substrate.
The paint can be used in building structures, steel structures in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, bridges, power stations and factories.
