Iran-Made Robot Helps Police to Reduce Errors in Traffic Violations Fines
“Our company started its activity in the field of artificial intelligence in 2018 and was founded by a group of elites active in the scientific and industrial fields,” Farhad Sadri, a representative of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
“We use the police robot to improve traffic programs. When a traffic control camera records a fine, it will then become validated by the police robot before it is enforced,” he added
Sadri explained that the smart robot matches the appearance of the car in the photo with the specifications requested from the police system and provides the results accurately and rapidly, adding when the robot is not sure about the declaration of approval or discrepancy to issue a fine, it refers the issue to the check department’s operator.
Noting that the license plate reading errors are reduced by using the robot, he said that it is estimated that this error has decreased to below 5%.
Iranian companies are able to design and manufacture robots that are used in different industries.
“We design and manufacture industrial robots such as welding robots that are used in various industries such as automotive, food, and petrochemical industries,” Zohreh Shokraneh, the deputy managing director of the company, said earlier this year.
She pointed out that the company was established in 2000.
“Another part of our activity is the designing and manufacturing of intelligent robots, such as service robots, that can be used in hospitals, hotels, and restaurants,” Shokraneh added.
Robots with pliers, which are actually used intelligently in warehouses, are also manufactured in the country, she noted.
The intelligent work in the field of robotics is defined as the implementation of artificial intelligence technology, which can fully recognize the space and the path and go to the place defined for it and do what we want, Shokraneh explained.
